Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the full-cycle bookkeeping process, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing and tax filings in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures and audits.
- Maintain and update fixed asset schedules and inventory records.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax professionals as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional bookkeeping experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced office.
