Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile multi-entity general ledger accounts with precision
- Prepare month-end and year-end financial statements including balance sheets and P&L reports
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and vendor relationship management
- Oversee payroll processing and tax compliance for 50+ employees
- Implement and optimize accounting software systems (QuickBooks Enterprise)
- Conduct internal audits and ensure SOX compliance
- Lead month-end closing processes with zero-tolerance for errors
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive bookkeeping experience in public accounting
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise and Excel (advanced functions)
- Proven track record with multi-state payroll and tax filings
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail (0.1% error tolerance)
- Experience with financial reporting for non-profits and startups
- Ability to manage high-volume transactions during peak cycles
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder reporting
