Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and reconcile bank statements monthly
- Prepare financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) with detailed annotations
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and vendor payment processing
- Process bi-weekly payroll for 15-20 employees using ADP systems
- Assist with quarterly sales tax filings and annual 1099 distributions
- Implement internal controls to ensure SOX compliance
- Train junior bookkeepers on QuickBooks Online best practices
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Online
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, macros)
- Experience with multi-entity accounting and intercompany reconciliations
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor designation
- Deep understanding of GAAP principles and Georgia tax regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail with zero-error tolerance
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
