Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledgers and financial records using QuickBooks Online
- Process payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations monthly
- Prepare financial statements, budgets, and variance analysis for executive review
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IRS regulations, and state-specific requirements
- Manage month-end closing procedures and audit documentation
- Collaborate with tax professionals for quarterly filings and year-end reporting
- Train junior bookkeepers on financial software and accounting protocols
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks certification
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with advanced formula knowledge
- Proven experience with multi-entity accounting and payroll processing
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Texas CPA license or actively pursuing certification
