Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile complex general ledger accounts with monthly/quarterly closing procedures
- Prepare financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow analyses
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles with strict adherence to SOX compliance
- Oversee payroll processing for 50+ employees using ADP and QuickBooks
- Lead month-end closing processes with variance analysis reporting
- Develop and implement internal financial controls and documentation systems
- Collaborate with auditors during annual compliance reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent work experience (5+ years)
- Advanced QuickBooks Online certification required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with advanced formula knowledge (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Experience with multi-state sales tax filing and payroll tax compliance
- Proven track record in managing full-cycle bookkeeping for 15+ clients
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards
- Exceptional attention to detail with zero-error tolerance for financial data
