Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and post monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax filings and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring all deductions and withholdings are correct.
- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax professionals during audits and tax season.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
