Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile complex multi-entity accounting systems using QuickBooks Online
- Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and P&L reports for 15+ clients
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles with strict attention to aging reports
- Coordinate quarterly tax filings and year-end audits with external CPA firms
- Implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting efficiency
- Manage client relationships as primary financial point of contact
- Train junior staff on accounting best practices and software proficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 5+ years of progressive bookkeeping experience
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online and advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- CPA certification or equivalent accounting designation preferred
- Demonstrated experience with multi-state tax compliance and payroll processing
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to identify discrepancies and recommend solutions
- Proven track record of managing high-volume financial transactions
- Strong communication skills for explaining complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders
