Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage cash flow operations
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis reports
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and tax regulations for Colorado-based businesses
- Oversee payroll processing and tax filings for 15+ clients
- Implement and optimize accounting software workflows
- Collaborate with CPAs during quarterly reviews and audits
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience in QuickBooks Online
- Proven proficiency with Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables)
- Strong understanding of sales tax compliance in Colorado
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor designation a plus
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills for client interactions
