Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 client portfolios including accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheets, cash flow) with variance analysis
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts ensuring GAAP compliance
- Oversee sales tax filings and quarterly payroll tax remittances
- Implement and optimize accounting processes using QuickBooks Online and Xero
- Collaborate with CPA firms during audits and tax season
- Train junior staff on accounting procedures and software proficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or equivalent certification preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive bookkeeping experience with multi-client portfolios
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Xero platforms
- Advanced knowledge of GAAP and Wisconsin state tax regulations
- Proven experience with month-end closing procedures and financial reporting
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to numerical accuracy
- Strong communication abilities for client-facing interactions
- Experience with construction or manufacturing industries highly desirable
