Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15+ client portfolios including AP/AR, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis with executive-level insights
- Implement and maintain QuickBooks Online with advanced customization for complex transactions
- Coordinate annual audits and tax preparation with external CPA firms
- Develop financial forecasting models and cash flow projections
- Maintain compliance with GAAP and industry-specific regulations
- Mentor junior accounting staff and optimize financial workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 5+ years of progressive bookkeeping experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel with VBA expertise
- Certified Public Bookkeeper (CPB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor designation required
- Demonstrated experience with multi-state payroll and sales tax compliance
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail for high-volume transactions
- Experience with fintech integrations (Stripe, Plaid, etc.) preferred
- Strong communication skills for presenting financial insights to non-financial stakeholders
