Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks Online
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis for diverse client portfolios
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and bank reconciliations
- Oversee payroll processing and tax compliance for small to medium businesses
- Collaborate with CPAs during audits and tax season documentation
- Implement internal controls to prevent financial discrepancies
- Train junior staff on bookkeeping best practices and software
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- Expertise in GAAP principles and California tax regulations
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools
- Proven ability to manage multi-client portfolios simultaneously
- Strong communication skills for client-facing interactions
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) designation highly valued
- Experience with construction or retail accounting a plus
