Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Prepare monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and ensure timely vendor/client payments
- Process payroll and maintain accurate employee records using ADP systems
- Assist with tax preparation and audit documentation as required
- Implement and optimize accounting software workflows (QuickBooks ProAdvisor preferred)
- Train junior bookkeepers on financial procedures and compliance standards
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional bookkeeping experience with multi-client portfolios
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel (VBA/macros)
- CPA certification or equivalent accounting degree strongly preferred
- Expert knowledge of GAAP principles and IRS tax regulations
- Proven ability to manage high-volume transaction processing
- Experience with construction industry accounting a major plus
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and deadline-driven mindset
- Strong references from previous finance supervisors
