Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping operations including accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements with variance analysis for diverse client portfolios
- Maintain accurate general ledgers and ensure GAAP compliance across all transactions
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals during quarterly reviews
- Implement and optimize accounting software workflows for maximum efficiency
- Lead month-end closing processes with strict deadlines and accuracy requirements
- Develop customized financial reporting dashboards for client stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of comprehensive bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Online/Desktop
- Expertise in multi-entity accounting and complex payroll processing
- Advanced proficiency in Excel with VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and financial modeling
- Proven track record of managing month-end closing for 20+ accounts
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and error-spotting abilities
- Excellent communication skills for client-facing financial consultations
- Experience with construction or real estate accounting a major plus
