Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 corporate clients using QuickBooks Online
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis reports
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and bank reconciliations
- Coordinate with tax professionals for quarterly filings and year-end audits
- Implement internal controls and process improvements for efficiency
- Maintain compliance with GAAP and Illinois state financial regulations
- Lead training sessions for junior accounting staff on accounting software
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience in public accounting
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor designation preferred
- Expertise in multi-state tax compliance and payroll processing
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and client management abilities
