Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile complex general ledger accounts with 100% accuracy
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles and cash flow management
- Coordinate with auditors and ensure compliance with GAAP and tax regulations
- Implement and optimize accounting software systems (QuickBooks Enterprise)
- Lead month-end closing processes and variance analysis
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive bookkeeping/finance experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and ERP systems
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or CPA preferred
- Expertise in multi-state tax compliance and payroll processing
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience with nonprofit or construction accounting a plus
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines in high-volume environments
