Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for diverse client portfolios including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance analysis and reconciliations
- Oversee tax compliance filings and support annual audit processes
- Implement and optimize accounting systems for efficiency and accuracy
- Develop financial reports and dashboards for strategic decision-making
- Maintain organized digital and physical financial records with strict confidentiality protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 5+ years of bookkeeping experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Xero, and advanced Excel functions
- Expert knowledge of GAAP principles and Michigan tax regulations
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification required
- Exceptional attention to detail with proven error prevention capabilities
- Strong analytical skills for financial interpretation and problem-solving
