Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 diverse client portfolios using QuickBooks Online and Xero
- Prepare monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow analyses
- Process payroll and tax filings for California-based businesses
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and investment accounts monthly
- Implement and maintain internal controls for financial data integrity
- Collaborate with CPAs during quarterly audits and tax season
- Develop customized financial reports to support client decision-making
- Train clients on cloud accounting software adoption
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or equivalent certification preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Online
- Advanced proficiency in Excel with complex formula creation
- Proven track record managing multi-client portfolios
- Deep understanding of California sales tax regulations and payroll compliance
- Experience with construction or real estate industry accounting a plus
- Certification in QuickBooks Online or Xero required
- Exceptional attention to detail with zero-error tolerance for financial data
