Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis for executive leadership
- Oversee sales tax filings and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls for financial systems
- Coordinate annual audits and assist with tax preparation documentation
- Leverage QuickBooks and Xero for efficient financial data management
- Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive bookkeeping experience in a fast-paced environment
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Xero, and MS Excel
- Proven track record of managing multi-entity accounting systems
- Strong understanding of GAAP and California tax regulations
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to numerical accuracy
- Ability to thrive under deadlines while maintaining confidentiality
- Professional certification (e.g., QuickBooks ProAdvisor) a plus
