Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Prepare month-end and year-end financial statements including balance sheets and income statements
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and ensure timely vendor/client payments
- Process payroll accurately and maintain compliance with federal/state regulations
- Generate comprehensive financial reports for management and client reviews
- Implement and optimize accounting software systems for maximum efficiency
- Conduct internal audits to identify discrepancies and implement corrective measures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive bookkeeping experience in public accounting
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, and Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP and IRS tax regulations
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data
- Proven track record of managing multi-client portfolios
