Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 diverse business clients
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements monthly
- Prepare financial statements (P&L, balance sheets) and tax documentation
- Oversee payroll processing and compliance with CA labor laws
- Implement QuickBooks optimizations for operational efficiency
- Collaborate with CPAs during quarterly tax reviews
- Maintain organized digital and physical financial records
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online/Desktop
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- Expert knowledge of GAAP and California tax regulations
- Proven experience with multi-client portfolio management
- Excel mastery (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros)
- QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification required
