Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll systems
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis for client portfolios
- Manage bank reconciliations, expense reports, and tax document preparation
- Implement and optimize QuickBooks accounting workflows for efficiency
- Provide proactive financial insights and recommendations to business clients
- Coordinate with auditors during annual reviews and ensure compliance
- Mentor junior staff on accounting best practices and software proficiency
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Pro/Premier
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel with complex formula implementation
- Proven track record of managing multi-client accounting portfolios
- Expert knowledge of GAAP and California tax regulations
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication abilities for client consultations
- Experience with payroll processing (ADP or similar platforms)
