Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 clients using QuickBooks Online
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheets)
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and complex payroll entries
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and sales tax compliance
- Implement financial controls and process improvements
- Collaborate with CPAs during audit preparation
- Train junior bookkeepers on accounting best practices
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional bookkeeping experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel
- Strong understanding of GAAP and NM tax regulations
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor designation
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines with competing priorities
- Experience with construction or retail accounting a plus
