Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and reconcile bank statements monthly
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage cash flow forecasting
- Prepare financial statements and tax documentation packages
- Oversee payroll processing and compliance filings
- Implement and optimize accounting software systems (QuickBooks)
- Conduct internal audits and financial analysis for clients
- Coordinate with auditors and regulatory agencies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Pro/Premier
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software
- CPA or QuickBooks certification preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP and tax regulations
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple client portfolios
- Virginia-based professional references required
