Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage payroll systems
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis reports
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IRS regulations, and state requirements
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Collaborate with CPA firm during tax season audits
- Implement process improvements for financial workflow efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of progressive bookkeeping experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel Advanced functions
- Deep knowledge of GAAP and Texas tax regulations
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor preferred
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with multi-entity accounting systems
