Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis for 15+ clients
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and cash flow optimization
- Oversee payroll processing and tax compliance for California businesses
- Implement and maintain QuickBooks Online systems with custom reporting
- Coordinate year-end audits and provide supporting documentation
- Train junior bookkeepers on financial best practices
Qualifications
- 5+ years of bookkeeping experience with California businesses
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- Expert knowledge of California tax regulations and payroll laws
- Proven experience with multi-client portfolio management
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) designation required
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
