Responsibilities
- Execute full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 clients including AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and payroll processing
- Prepare monthly financial statements with variance analysis and KPI tracking
- Manage sales tax filings across multiple jurisdictions and ensure compliance
- Oversee month-end closing procedures with accurate journal entries
- Collaborate with CPAs on audit preparation and tax documentation
- Maintain organized digital filing systems in QuickBooks Online
- Provide financial insights to clients during quarterly business reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience (5+ years)
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel (Pivot Tables/VLOOKUPs)
- Proven experience with multi-state sales tax compliance
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail with error reconciliation abilities
- Strong communication skills for client relationship management
- Experience with construction or retail industry accounting a plus
