Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and reconcile bank statements monthly
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage payroll for 15+ clients
- Prepare financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) monthly
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Implement and optimize QuickBooks Online systems for clients
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations
- Collaborate with CPAs during tax season audits
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional bookkeeping experience
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online/Xero
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, macros)
- Familiarity with sales tax filing (FL Dept. of Revenue)
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) designation preferred
- Proven ability to manage multiple client deadlines
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills
