Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 client portfolios using QuickBooks Online
- Prepare monthly financial statements including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
- Process payroll and ensure timely tax filings (federal/state/local)
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and investment accounts with precision
- Implement internal controls to prevent financial discrepancies
- Collaborate with tax professionals during quarterly and annual reviews
- Train junior bookkeepers on accounting software best practices
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Online
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros)
- Payroll processing experience (ADP or Gusto)
- Strong understanding of GAAP and IRS regulations
- Professional certification (QB ProAdvisor, CPAB, or similar)
- Exceptional attention to detail with zero-error tolerance
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
