Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and reconcile bank statements monthly
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage payroll for multiple clients
- Prepare financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow) with detailed commentary
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Implement and optimize accounting software systems (QuickBooks ProAdvisor preferred)
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations
- Provide financial insights and budgetary analysis to client stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Excel (Advanced Functions)
- Proven experience with multi-client accounting systems
- Strong understanding of sales tax filing (Texas Comptroller)
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) designation highly desirable
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
