Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Prepare monthly financial statements including balance sheets and income statements
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and vendor/client communications
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with Illinois labor regulations
- Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Implement and improve accounting systems for operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience in a professional setting
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions)
- Strong understanding of GAAP and Illinois tax requirements
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor preferred
- Exceptional analytical skills with high accuracy standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
