Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage bank reconciliations
- Prepare financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheets) for client portfolios
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and industry-specific regulations
- Collaborate with tax professionals to support quarterly/year-end filings
- Implement and optimize accounting software systems (QuickBooks ProAdvisor preferred)
- Lead month-end closing processes with accuracy and timeliness
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional bookkeeping experience in a public accounting or firm setting
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent certification (CPA/CPB a plus)
- Proven track record of managing multi-client portfolios with 50+ accounts
- Expert knowledge of sales tax filing and California payroll regulations
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to identify discrepancies
- Strong communication skills for client-facing interactions
