Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledgers, accounts receivable/payable, and payroll systems
- Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements monthly
- Manage sales tax filings and quarterly tax preparation
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and collections
- Implement and optimize QuickBooks workflows for 15+ clients
- Collaborate with tax professionals during audit processes
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Pro/Premier
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- CPA certification or enrolled agent designation a plus
- Proven experience with multi-state tax compliance
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
