Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 client portfolios using QuickBooks Online
- Prepare monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliations with 100% accuracy
- Process bi-weekly payroll for 50+ employees with tax compliance oversight
- Assist with annual audits and tax preparation documentation
- Implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting efficiency
- Maintain organized digital filing systems for all financial records
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks certification
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel with advanced formula knowledge
- Proven experience with multi-state payroll processing and sales tax filings
- Strong attention to detail with error rate below 0.5%
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills for client reporting and team collaboration
- Familiarity with construction industry accounting a plus
