Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis reports
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and bank reconciliations
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Implement and optimize accounting software workflows (QuickBooks ProAdvisor preferred)
- Assist with annual audits and tax preparation documentation
- Train junior staff on accounting best practices and software proficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with SMBs
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online/Desktop and Excel
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor designation a plus
- Deep understanding of GAAP and IRS compliance requirements
- Exceptional analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
- Proven track record of meeting tight deadlines with zero errors
