Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and reconcile bank statements monthly
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage payroll for 15+ employees
- Prepare financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet) and monthly variance analyses
- Oversee sales tax filings and ensure compliance with Arizona state regulations
- Implement and optimize QuickBooks Online workflows for efficiency
- Collaborate with CPA firm during annual audits and tax preparations
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate payment terms
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Pro/Premier
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, macros)
- Arizona Sales Tax and Payroll tax compliance expertise
- CPA or QuickBooks Online certification a strong plus
- Experience with multi-entity accounting setups
- Proven track record of reducing month-end close time by 25%+
