Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including sales, purchases, and general ledger accounts.
- Perform bank reconciliations and prepare monthly management accounts.
- Assist with VAT returns and year-end financial statements.
- Process payroll data and ensure compliance with HMRC regulations.
- Reconcile supplier and customer statements to ensure all transactions are accounted for.
- Train and mentor junior bookkeeping staff.
- Utilize cloud accounting software (Xero/QuickBooks) to streamline financial reporting.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar financial role (minimum 3 years).
- Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards (IFRS) and HMRC tax legislation.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Relevant professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, AAT Level 4 or equivalent).
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with clients and stakeholders.
- Valid right to work in the United Kingdom.
