Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records using Xero and QuickBooks
- Manage accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliations
- Process payroll and VAT submissions compliant with HMRC regulations
- Generate monthly financial statements and management reports
- Assist in audits and ensure SOX compliance documentation
- Implement financial controls to prevent fraud and errors
- Collaborate with senior accountants on strategic financial planning
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' UK-based bookkeeping experience
- ACCA/CIMA part-qualified or equivalent qualification essential
- Proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, and advanced Excel functions
- Deep understanding of UK tax regulations and GAAP standards
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience with multi-currency transactions preferred
- Excellent communication and time management abilities
