Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage cash flow reporting
- Prepare monthly financial statements for diverse client portfolios
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure HMRC compliance
- Conduct bank reconciliations and variance analysis
- Assist with VAT returns and tax documentation preparation
- Implement and maintain robust bookkeeping systems using Xero and Sage
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' experience in bookkeeping or accounting role
- Proven proficiency with Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage software
- AAT Level 3/4 or equivalent qualification essential
- Strong understanding of UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Exceptional analytical skills and numerical accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise competing tasks
- Relevant finance degree or ACCA/CIMA progression preferred
