Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end revenue cycle operations including charge entry, claim submission, and payment reconciliation
- Analyze and resolve complex billing discrepancies with insurance providers and patients
- Ensure HIPAA compliance while maintaining 99.7% billing accuracy across 500+ daily transactions
- Lead process improvement initiatives using data analytics to reduce denials by 15% quarterly
- Mentor junior specialists while maintaining expert knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding updates
- Collaborate with clinical departments to ensure documentation meets billing requirements
Qualifications
- 5+ years of medical billing experience with commercial and government payers (Medicare/Medicaid)
- Expert proficiency in Epic Resolute or similar EMR billing modules
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS) required
- Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions
- Proven track record of reducing AR days below 45 consistently
- Exceptional communication skills for high-stakes insurance negotiations
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or Finance preferred
