Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end billing processes for complex insurance claims and patient accounts
- Analyze and resolve billing denials with root cause analysis
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure accurate charge capture and documentation
- Conduct regular audits of billing practices and compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Develop and implement process improvements to reduce AR days
- Train junior staff on billing procedures and system utilization
- Prepare monthly billing performance reports for leadership review
Qualifications
- 5+ years of medical billing experience with commercial and government payers
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Expertise in Epic EMR and Medisoft billing systems
- Strong knowledge of CPT/HCPCS coding and ICD-10 diagnostics
- Proven track record in reducing claim denial rates below 5%
- Advanced Excel skills with data visualization capabilities
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or related field preferred
