Responsibilities
- Process and submit accurate insurance claims for Medicare, Medicaid, and private payers
- Resolve billing discrepancies and denials through systematic analysis
- Conduct regular audits of patient accounts and payment postings
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure documentation supports billing codes
- Generate monthly revenue cycle reports for leadership review
- Train staff on updated billing procedures and compliance requirements
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant patient financial records
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Proficiency in Epic or NextGen EMR systems
- Expert knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Strong analytical skills for resolving complex claim issues
- Experience with electronic claim submission (Availity, etc.)
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
