- Conduct monthly audits to identify billing optimization opportunities
- Train billing staff on ICD-10/CPT code updates and HIPAA compliance
- Collaborate with collections team to reduce A/R days below 45
- Implement new billing software and process improvements
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with commercial insurance payers
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Expertise in Epic EMR and Medisoft billing systems
- Advanced knowledge of Michigan Medicaid/Medicare regulations
- Proven track record of reducing claim rejection rates by 20%+
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel with pivot table capabilities
