Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end medical billing processes for diverse healthcare clients
- Analyze and resolve claim denials and underpayments through payer negotiations
- Ensure HIPAA-compliant handling of patient financial data
- Collaborate with clinical teams to document billing-accurate encounters
- Generate monthly revenue cycle performance reports for client stakeholders
- Implement process improvements to reduce claim rejection rates
- Train junior staff on advanced billing regulations and compliance
Qualifications
- 5+ years of medical billing experience with commercial and government payers
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or equivalent credential required
- Expertise in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
- Advanced proficiency in Epic, NextGen, or similar EHR systems
- Proven track record in reducing AR days by 20%+
- Strong analytical skills for identifying billing pattern anomalies
- Experience with third-party payer audits and appeals
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or Finance preferred
