Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end billing processes including invoice generation, payment posting, and account reconciliation
- Resolve complex billing discrepancies and customer inquiries with SLA adherence
- Collaborate with sales and finance teams to ensure contract compliance and revenue recognition accuracy
- Analyze billing data to identify trends and process improvement opportunities
- Implement and maintain billing system configurations (e.g., Salesforce CPQ, NetSuite)
- Prepare monthly billing reports for executive leadership review
- Train junior staff on billing procedures and system best practices
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive billing/AR experience in B2B SaaS or tech environment
- Expertise in revenue recognition principles (ASC 606) and billing compliance
- Advanced proficiency in Salesforce CPQ, NetSuite, or comparable billing platforms
- Certified Billing Specialist (CBS) or equivalent financial certification preferred
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven ability to manage high-volume billing operations with zero-error tolerance
- Strong communication skills for stakeholder collaboration and conflict resolution
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required
