Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims with 99% accuracy across multiple payers
- Resolve billing discrepancies through meticulous account reconciliation and audit trails
- Optimize charge capture processes to maximize reimbursement and minimize denials
- Collaborate with clinical departments to ensure compliance with billing regulations
- Lead training initiatives for billing staff on new CPT/ICD-10 coding updates
- Generate monthly financial reports for department leadership review
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with commercial and government payers
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS) credential
- Expertise in Epic Systems or NextGen practice management software
- Advanced knowledge of HIPAA, CMS, and Medicaid billing regulations
- Proven ability to resolve complex claim denials and appeals
- Strong analytical skills with attention to financial data accuracy
