Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end revenue cycle operations including charge entry, claims submission, and payment posting
- Resolve complex billing discrepancies through insurance carrier negotiations and patient account management
- Ensure HIPAA and CMS compliance across all billing processes
- Generate monthly financial reports and analyze key performance metrics
- Train junior staff on billing software and regulatory updates
- Collaborate with clinical teams to document services accurately
Qualifications
- 5+ years of medical billing experience with commercial and government payers
- Expertise in Epic or NextGen EHR systems and revenue cycle modules
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS) credential
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines
- Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience with RCM process optimization
