Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile complex medical claims across multiple insurance payers
- Analyze accounts receivable reports to identify and resolve billing discrepancies
- Implement CPT/ICD-10 coding updates for accurate reimbursement
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure charge capture integrity
- Conduct monthly audits to ensure compliance with billing regulations
- Train junior staff on billing software and compliance protocols
- Generate monthly revenue cycle performance dashboards
Qualifications
- 5+ years of medical billing experience with commercial and government payers
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Expertise in Epic, Meditech, or similar EHR billing modules
- Advanced knowledge of HIPAA, CMS, and NC Medicaid regulations
- Proficient in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong written communication for patient correspondence
