Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end billing cycles for 150+ healthcare clients using Epic and Meditech systems
- Analyze claim denials and implement corrective actions to reduce denial rates by 20%
- Reconcile accounts receivable reports with EOBs and remittance advices
- Collaborate with insurance providers to resolve complex billing discrepancies
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and state billing regulations
- Train junior staff on billing workflows and best practices
- Generate monthly performance reports for finance leadership
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with commercial and government payers
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS) preferred
- Expertise in CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and billing software (e.g., Kareo, AdvancedMD)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication abilities for client negotiations
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or Finance required
