Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end revenue cycle operations including charge entry, claim submission, and payment posting
- Resolve billing discrepancies and insurance claim denials through systematic analysis and follow-up
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer-specific billing regulations
- Collaborate with clinical teams to document services accurately for optimal reimbursement
- Generate monthly reports on key billing metrics and financial performance
- Train junior staff on billing protocols and system utilization
Qualifications
- 5+ years of medical billing experience with commercial and government payers
- Expertise in Epic EMR and Centricity practice management systems
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS) preferred
- Advanced knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding standards
- Proven ability to resolve complex billing disputes with insurance carriers
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and data visualization tools
