In this pivotal role, you will bridge the gap between theoretical AI research and practical, high-performance engineering. You will work in a dynamic environment where the only constant is change, pushing the boundaries of what's possible with Large Language Models (LLMs) and edge computing.
Responsibilities
- Architect and deploy scalable, high-availability AI infrastructure using Kubernetes and Docker at a global scale.
- Design and optimize data pipelines for real-time inference, reducing latency by 40% or more.
- Implement robust security protocols and governance frameworks for sensitive AI model training and deployment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams of data scientists and engineers to integrate new AI models into production environments.
- Conduct technical due diligence on emerging hardware (GPUs/TPUs) to drive hardware-software co-design strategies.
- Mentor junior engineers and establish best practices for code quality and system reliability.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in AI/ML infrastructure and DevOps.
- Deep expertise in Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and modern cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Strong proficiency in container orchestration (Kubernetes) and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible).
- Experience with vector databases and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures.
- Proven track record of designing systems that handle 1M+ requests per second.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment.
